2nd Trimester Bliss

I can't believe I am actually beginning my 2nd trimester!Praise God! I have to remind myself to keep faith and trust God because sometimes I can't help but feel something is going to happen. Even after the doctor has said I'm in my 2nd trimester and I can relax, it is hard. I don't stress over it but if I don't take control of my thoughts, they can cause me great anxiety.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I can't believe I am actually beginning my 2nd Trimester! I'm sure I already said that but I just can't believe it. The babies have been good to me today. They must have known it was Mother's Day. After 11 hours, yes that wasn't a typo, 11 hours of sleep I woke up very refreshed. Sean got up and went to mow the lawn. I took a shower, had some breakfast, and ventured outdoors to help. I did some weed-eating or whipper snipping depending on which country you live in. I also patched a rabbit hole with some soil and put down some grass seed. I hope the rabbit that lived there can find a place to sleep tonight. I even pushed the lawn mower for a few minutes. Sean bought a much needed lawn mower this summer and it is self propelled. He sat down to drink some water so I had a go. It was so easy. However, I only got a few steps and Sean said that was enough. I'd still be in bed if he had his way.

After yard work we had some lunch and then watched a movie on television. I don't usually sit and watch movies but it appeased Sean to see me resting. We then headed to the store and picked up some groceries. I came home with more junk than I think I have bought accumulatively in 6 months. I have orange sherbert, banana pops, tons of fruit, vegies and other odds and ends. I haven't had a banana pop since I was a child but really seemed to want them today. Welcome to 2nd trimester!

Put groceries away, cleaned the kitchen a bit, prepared dinner, ate dinner, cleaned kitchen again, went for a walk and now I am writing my blog. What was missing? A Nap! WOW! Can't believe I did all that without a nap. I am starting to feel it now. I did more today than I have done in a week for the past three months. I felt great! If this is what the 2nd trimester is all about then I am so excited! For all of you worrying about me over doing it today, rest assured I did not. I never pushed my self and I feel really good tonight!

Many of you keep asking me for photos of the baby bump. It isn't all that easy to see with my clothes on unless I just had dinner. Then I seem to balloon up and look 5 months preggo! Right now I just look like I have had a few many donuts. If only that were true. Donuts do sound yummy right now. Good thing the nearest Krispy Kreme is 20 minutes away. I will do my best to get a photo so you all can see my ever growing baby bump.

I'm just going to sit here a while longer and enjoy the amazing weather and the delicious fresh lemonade I made this afternoon. Can you believe I don't even miss my diet coke? I do miss Mr. Goodcent's subs though. =(

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!!
